Portal, Updated Narrative: 07/2005
"Portal" is a two state site-specific work created
by choreographer Amelia Rudolph and performed by Project
Bandaloop that references natural and human themes of the experience
and legacy of the Lewis and Clark expedition.
In
conjunction with the performances of PORTAL in Helena and
Portland, Project Bandaloop will offer master classes and
youth workshops in each community. Project Bandaloop’s
Vertical Dance Workshops focus on technique in aerial movement,
wall-based vertical dance, climbing and floor-based movement,
as well as creative play time. Members of the Company teach
beginning classes to youth aged 11-18.
